A simple question
How do you find the time and energy to do everything you want to do?
Think I need to have a little art time “On Prescription“ …soon

Final touches
This weekend I have spend quite some time gluing prints to pages, stitching those pages into a cardboard suitcase and filling out application forms (CV + artists statement) for a new Artrovert made suitcase book for Beyond Words (More images here)
Unbelievably so long that kind of stuff takes … not least because my usual PC has broken down and is currently located in Germany for repair while I have been struggling with an old, ultra-slow compensation which ,frankly, sounds as if it is also near the point of collapse.
However, as I participated in a full moon meditation at Væksthøjskolen in Ginnerup last week (full moon in Aries) I’m not entirely surprised to experience certain communication difficulties at the moment…

Happy Easter
A perfect Easter Holyday composed just the way I want it. It means time for creative work – my own as well as others, leisure, outings, spiritual reflections and other input, time with family and time alone. Wonderful!
Yesterday’s trip to Art Centre Silkeborg Bad – aimed at experiencing the two exhibitions displayed at the moment (Rod i naturen/ Nature As A Messy Premise + Anna Klindts 9 haver/ The 9 Gardens of Anna Klindt) and to review the rooms where the artists books from Vilnius Triennial will be exposed, Søvilla where the workshop will take place and, finally, the guest rooms where the Nordic artists will be accommodated.
The logistical part of an event is not insignificant; I find it so much easier to imagine an event when I know the setting – at least roughly, so I’d call yesterdays outing a successful example of how to integrate work and pleasure…

Take off
25 cardboard suitcases lined up – and sent off to 25 artists in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Denmark. Within half a year’s time they will return to the starting point – to be included in Con-Text, an artists´books exhibition at Kulturspinderiet, the old Paper Factory in Silkeborg.
At that time a total change / transformation / metamorphosis will have taken place – these perfectly ordinary cardboard suitcases will be artists’ books.
In order to follow and document the process unfold, this blog was launched yesterday. The intend is to establish an informal forum/ shared logbook where to record and reflect on how the process progresses, hopefully for mutual inspiration and pleasure for all participating artists – as well as others who might want to follow the journey…
Welcome on board!
