A bookmark is a reference that tells you “where you are”. This can be understood both literally and metaphorically.
These bookmarks are a combination of mini Atlases and philosophical/ existential questions or statements that examine the common denominator between exploring a new country/ territory – and reading a book.
They are cut out from of a bunch old, discarded geographical school maps from a local garage sale. The red dots attached refers to the red dot, we all know from overview boards etc. showing “YOU ARE HERE”.
