The last days ARTROVERT have let loose the inner beast and embarked on an artist’s book, that hopefully ends at a the show in Lecce, Italy (where we’ve been invited to submit our work).
The overall theme of the exhibition is “Naturalia e Animalia” and we have taken the opportunity to dive into the not so pretty sides of our human nature; the dark sides. All the stuff we hide down there in the depths. All the growling, groaning, hissing, frothing, snarling voices. The instincts – and emotions. The beasty aspects. Anger, inferiority, loneliness, jealousy, sadness. The Sleeping Beast that sometimes wakes up and bites and reveals it’s ugly faces.
For two days we have worked with this stuff. Tryed to portray the beast – hopefully (also) with a glimpse of humor!
It has – again, again – been great to meet and collaborate. Hard work – and a lot of life-rewarding talking, laughter, and champagne for dinner!
