At the tropic of Cancer

The very longest day of the year, at the tropic of Cancer, my Granddad got 91.

We went to visit him at Saxild where he resides some weeks this summer right next to this sandy beach, so even though it wasn’t exactly sunshine some of the guests got themselves a swim after the traditional coffee, tea and strawberry layer cake table…

  1. The beautiful girl with the red bikini could be a twin of my Marta. 😉

I love the background in the first photo with the decking.
It looks as though the decking is in a strange room with the sea painted on the far wall. It is only given depth by the lovely form of the running child and the distance between the rocks and the sea shore. I would love that painted on a wall in my house, I think it’s terrific.

Får håpe at dere får noe skikkelig sommer vær snart! Vi skal til Danmark om 3 uker og venter å ha fint vær hele oppholdet! Det ser ut som du har det travelt som vanlig – så flink du er! Ha en fantastiske sommer!
