An unconventional Nutcracker

Yesterday Emilie, Marie, Granddad and I went to see the Nutcracker at Aarhus´ Theatre. The traditional fairy-tail-ballet was transformed into an out of breath innovative hip hop break dance performance. Really, really well done!

Afterwards we even met Bente & Ida for a cup of afternoon tea.

The city was absolutely overcrowded, no surprise; the big Christmas shopping is peaking now but anyhow Lynfabrikken, located at third floor in a backyard, happened to be exactly the perfect calm, cosy and cool place to spend a couple of hours in good company .

For the past six years my daughter and I have made it our tradition to have a girls day and we go to Mobile, Alabama to see the local production of the Nutcracker Ballet. No matter how many times I’ve seen it, I still love it. We have watched the dancers grow from being in the little mouse dance, to being ginger dancers and such. Afterward we go out to eat and then to browse bookstores. We talk and talk and talk. It is a favorite part of my holiday. Hope yours is good too.
