Beginning of the end

Unmistakakeble little signs and omens whisper to me the summer holiday slowly but steadily draws to a close… (the sound of a deep sigh… )

    What a beautiful photo, Hanne!

Our summer holiday ends on Monday. This mama is more than ready for the first day of school🙂 My girls are also ready, new haircuts, new clothes, sharpened pencils, schoolbags washed and ready. Now we just have to get back to a school-schedule-bedtime, that’s the hardest part of the end of summer!

So sad. Here, we have had no summer or nothing I consider summer. Just day after day of rain and thunder. About two days that were hot and I love heat. So, hoping the fall will make up for it.

Perfect photo for this feeling of summer’s end. I really understand it, coming from a very northern climate. For me the herald of summer’s end is the sound of crickets whose arrival meets the very subtle change in the leaves. :-/
