Glimpses from last week’s course at Højbjerg Photographic Workshop conducted by the Swedish bookbinder master Per-Anders Hübner from Bokform, Halmstad.

I have been working with artists’ books for quite some years now – but in a somewhat different – or let’s say ‘primitive’ – way. So it has been really instructive, satisfactory and inspiring to experience the craft unfold.

Exciting to fold, sew ‘oriental’ and ‘Coptic’. Definitely got something to work on …

    I too have bookbound for years in a primitive way although I have done Japanese side bound and coptic styles. in simple form. but i have never studied really “correct” bookbinding, formal and man these are gorgeous. love the cutting board to, a nice big one.
