8 days in Byzantium/ Constantinople/ Istanbul (dear child has many names) to soak up impressions and find good motifs to draw, to enjoy plenty of tea breaks, play backgammon, study people in the street, read, vegetate, enjoy the colors, patterns and the special Turkish Huzun mood. The first days in the blistering weather – the last few days also with bursts of rain. So it’s good that there’re places like the Grand Bazaar, Istanbul Modern & and Orhan Pamuk’s Musum of Innocence where it’s only a pleasure to spend a rainy day.
Next painter travel I arrange will be in late summer/autumn 2016. Feel free to contact me if you wanna join. 😉
